Google Meet Auto Attendance Checker is a Google Apps Script automation I built to take over the manual attendance checking in my role as Technical Community Officer at Edukasyon.ph.
It uses the Google Calendar and Meet APIs to find each day's meeting and pull its participants, then matches their names against a Google Sheets roster and marks people present, late, or unexcused in two scheduled passes: one during the session and one after.
Gemini resolves messy display names like nicknames and spelling variations, but Apps Script alone decides attendance status, so results stay predictable. Existing "Present" and "Excused" entries are preserved, and settings live in Script Properties, so the same code can be reused for other meetings and spreadsheets.
